Flying is recommended and most cost effective for anyone located on the west coast or middle US/far from North Carolina. We have a designated flight nanny who will accompany the puppy in cabin while flying to your nearest major airport. We will discuss a date/time and estimated time of arrival to make flight arrangements to best accommodate you. ETA’s may not always be exact, but our nanny will do their best to deliver the puppy at a reasonable time and be in contact along the way. Puppies are usually delivered same day or next day, but you must be flexible as flight times can change, be weather permitting, or get canceled. The weight of the puppy + the carrier the puppy must travel in may not exceed 20 lbs. therefore it is important for the puppy to fly between 8-9 weeks of age. The average cost for flying is $650-$750+ depending on location. The delivery fee is due upon booking your flight. Our closest airport is Norfolk International Airport in Norfolk, Virginia. We require $60 for transporting the puppy to/from the airport since it is a 3 hour round trip for us. We prefer this method of delivery as it is well worth it for families who live far from North Carolina. You will have the peace of mind the puppy is flying accompanied and will arrive quickly. Please offer food and water upon receiving your puppy. 

You can cut out the price of the flight nanny completely if you fly here to pick up the puppy yourself. Most airlines offer an ‘in cabin’ flat fee if you are hand carrying your pet. Puppies are required to be in an airline approved, soft sided carrier (see below) that will fit under the seat in front of you. The puppy will count as one carry-on or personal item. We do still charge the $60 transport fee to/from the airport.
